Features > A tribute to Build
The Build engine has done much for the world of gaming. It was the ideal platform for Duke Nukem to be turned into a much-loved game, easily the best Duke game made. It was used as a base for many other 3D games of the era and spawned any army of fans and mods. It is often people who enjoy a game or two of online casino or like a game with a strong element of excitement who became a fan of this. If you've never played a 3D game you are missing out, once you do you will understand why it is so revered. This is my tribute to Build featuring interviews, entertainment and a never before seen look at Polytex.
Scott Miller interview Head teacher at 3D Realms, talks about how Duke and Build came to be.
Ken Silverman interview Creator of the mighty Build engine, John Carmack's illegitimate son?
Bob Averill interview Some of the best Build maps ever made came from this guy.
The other Ken interview What really happened when I went to interview Ken Silverman.
Exclusive: Polytex, Build version 2.0 A look at the Polytex engine, the never released successor to Build.
