People have been commenting on Marine's red outfit for years. "Why isn't Marine green? Like in Doom?"
Well the reason is that when I first started doing Strife comics all those years ago, I did a search online for Doom Marine sprites and the only ones I could find at that time were him dressed in red.
I guess they were taken from a network game of Doom were Marine appears in different colours.
With the Sluggster kicking off StrifeToons with Marine wearing his native green armour, plus Sluggy reminding me that green is a better contrast against Duke's blue and red I decided to take action! |
